Just installed my AVS AeroSkin Hood Protector

Hey [MENTION=144711]IggyB[/MENTION] - Do you know what the difference is between the "Bugflector" and "Bugflector II"? I see the Bugflector II (#25053) on Amazon but it says it doesn't fit my car (2016). Based on what you posted, it looks like it actually does despite it maybe being originally only intended for 2010-2013 4Runners. The regular Bugflector (non II) is #23071 and it does say it will fit my car but I'm not sure what the difference was. Is there a reason you went for the II instead of the original?

The II sits up above the hood a tad. The I sits more flush with the top of the hood.

I ordered the AVS regular visor yesterday. Concerned about the adhesive on the paint, but I want the side visors and understand there are no options other than adhesive. Guess I'll wait and see.

Question to OP or anyone here..... I love the look of this thing but am curious if it traps water - I noticed it does not have 3M tape continuously around all edges....mostly but not all...

Does the inner leading edge rub onto the hood or does the 3m tape prevent that and allow enough buffer?

I got this off Amazon - Auto Ventshade 322025 Smoke Aeroskin Hood Protector.

It shiny black plastic, not painted. You can kinda of see through it, when there is light behind it but that wont be the case when you install it. it will look shiny black.

Any feedback on the AVS Aeroskin longterm? A lot of people seem to like it initially but lots of reports of it pealing off and damaging the vehicle on amazon.
