Just joined and have been lurking for a few months now and wanted to say hello. Very informative site and tons of great looking 4runners here. Bought an '02 4x4 Sport w/75k miles.

I also added the Burtman door sills, along with LED's. Going to tint the front windows, and maybe get leather. Glad to be here.

Thanks guys. I'm in the PNW yeah.

My list, maybe exhaust, a lift, intake... double din nav unit. It has a few minor things to the exterior that i'm going to take care of here in the spring soon. Have already had to replace both tail lights and the driver headlight. There's a small rattle when I go over small bumps in the road that drives me nuts, so going to figure that out asap. I think it's the handle on the rear gate rattling...?? This is my winter/second ride.

I wanted a decent winter vehicle and have always loved the 3rd gen 4Runners, and I found this one so I picked it up. Got tired of putting miles on my daily driver, which i've put alot of time and money into, lol.
 
Highlander/Sports always look good, and that is a unique color. I like it.. I'm one of the few who think running boards look good. I might put mine back on tomorrow now that I've seen this!

Very nice 4Runner. I haven't really seen many of those dark blue ones around, let alone a SE..definitely one of the more rare colors.
 
I like that color, I'm waiting to see a 3rd Gen that is the electric blue that comes on the new Tacoma's. I have yet to see a p!ss yellow 3rd gen though...

It may be the fact that is only held on by the top with bolts. A couple of options to fix it are... Drill and bolt the bottom, stick some weatherstiping behind the plate or a strip of velcro behind the plate.

Mine used to rattle.
 
Great looking ride! Definitely a color you don't see often. Especially around here. During my search, the only place I ever really saw them in this color was in Florida for some reason.

FYI - If you ever decide to really get leather, I'd be VERY interested in your current cloth. I dig the '02 sport material over the '01.

Thank you for the compliments everyone. I did think it was the license plate when I first heard it. I bought some material to put behind it, just have not done so yet.

Hepar, I'm definitely leaning towards the leather more so than not. Got ya down for the cloth. Tint and the Nav unit are ahead in line tho.

Sweet! We could probably just switch seats and you could use my cores for the leather. They are in perfect shape. Only 60k miles on them. I guess there's probably someone who would want my seats. Might end up being a big merry-go-round of seats! Where are you in the PNW?

nice! cant believe i just saw this. i also just picked up a stellar blue pearl runner last month!
 
youre from the everett? i wanna say ive seen you a couple times on the freeway northbound i405 thru kirkland around eh, 5-530pm?

is that you? because im in love with that color lol!
