I have read many of the post on the JBL system. I have decided to just go with the stock nav unit. I have the single disc JBL 10 speaker system on a 2004 sport 4wd 4runner.
Just to check and see if any one has installed a 06 or 07 nav unit in a 2004. I have seen that the solara nav will work but has green illumination. I know I can solder in new LED's but I do not want to mess up, I am not that great with soldering.
So from what I have read in searchs since I have the single disc the stock nav unit should have no gaps and work perfect as a direct plug and play.
If the above is correct I just need to find out if 06 or 07 Stock 4runner nav unit will plug and play with my wireing harness. If it will not I will just get the solara one and find a shop to switch the LED's, if it can play MP3 disc.
Thanks for any info, I read the thread on the nav install but it was started almost 4 years ago. So if the new stock 4runner will work I would like to go that route instead of the Solara.
