Just ordered my lift/tires/UCA's

Hey guys I just pulled the trigger tonight on my up and coming lift setup!!!! :guitar3::guitar3::guitar3::thumb3::thumb3:

I ordered the OW 2.0" Suspension + LR UCA's + Kelly Safari TSA's 285/70R17's. As well as a Speedo Healer.

I assume the lift won't be in this weekend, but I will sure put it in the next weekend! Wait a minutes.... crap I have the oncall next weekend CRAP!!!! :redbrick::redbrick::redbrick::redbrick: Then a wedding I have to go to on the 9th & 10th of September.... Damned now I'm bummed, I can't lift my truck till the 17th!

$2,720.99 poorer now! Good thing I saved up $1540 for this, so I guess it's only $1,180.99 poorer.

It's a bummer when life gets in the way of mods...ha.

Look at it this way, you can take the extra time to gather all the tools, soak everything in PB blaster and take a load of "before" pics.
 
Thanks! I just got an email today saying the back shocks were on backorder for a week or two. So at least I will only have the wheels staring at me in the face versus the suspension too! So I guess I will try to get that Speedo Healer installed next weekend. Luckily that won't require all day long to do, to go along with my on-call that I get to do from home.
 
Let us know how it turns out! I've really been looking at this, just hard to drop the dough as it's overkill for my needs. Really interested in how it handles on the street compared to stock (we know it'll handle the off road very well).

I've been looking into my lift for the most part of the last year and a half. I just never had the cash to drop on doing my lift. So at the end of last year I just said if your gonna get me anything for a gift ie Christmas and my birthday, to make it cash! Plus I was stashing $20-$40 from each pay check. Plus I sold an RC car or two in the mean time and added that to my fund.

I am a firm believer in the you pay for what you get, as I've went the cheap way many a times with stuff only to have to fork out the $$ in the end for what I should of purchased in the beginning. Thus spending more money in the end.

I initially was looking at doing a spacer lift, then found the OME, and then the OW 2.0" kit. Plus all the other ones out there... King, Icon, ect... But as each as its pro's and con's you have to weigh out what works better for you.

So if I remember right you said your mainly going to do on-roading with only mild off-roading, and you already have your 5100's but just need a better working rear end setup.... maybe that's what you ought to focus on. Just my $0.02. But of course the ultimate decision is up to you.

For me since I don't have any $$ already spent on suspension, I figured this was probably my best bang for the buck. Since I like the looks plus the ability to get larger tires, and from what I hear smoother ride than stock, for on-road.
 
I am focusing on the rear, and you are right about my current setup. My thinking is that I may do the ow rear for now and match it with the front when funds allow. I'm leaning more towards some toytec coils and bilstein 5160s with the remote reservoir for the rear, just not any info on these out there for our applicaation.

Anyhow, end thread jack, congrats on the new setup!

I ended up needing to put on the wheel spacers on my truck, as my Kelly TSR's rubbed. As well as I made a homemade shock spacer for the rear drivers slide, to compensate for the drivers side lean on my truck. You may notice I did a number of pictures of the suspension and measurements, it's because I had/have a slight, not sure how to describe it other than a wiggle/rocking front to back when I come to a stop. I even sent my shocks back to get checked out and they were all fine. Talking with a few guys at work, it's most likely just a characteristic of being lifted. Either way when I do my next oil change I'm going to put the whole truck up in the air and do a torque check on all the nuts and bolts.

Overall, I'm happy with the lift, the look and OW's customer support!!
