Just Ordered Some Parts

Just now ordered some parts from Conicelli Toyota who advertises on here, I found their prices to be very good and I called them with a couple questions and they were helpful.

I ordered:
OE Front Brake Pads and OE Rear Shoes

Coolant Hoses:
Upper radiator, Lower radiator, coolant recovery, and bypass hoses.

AC Bulbs #81850-35020....been meaning to do this fix as I've been driving around in the dark for a while, but didn't want to pay shipping costs that cost more than the bulbs themselves, so i waited until I had to order other stuff for free shipping.

I now need to order the parts to do the timing belt change and so i'm asking for opinions here. Some places online offer a "timing belt kit" that includes various parts.

In addition to the timing belt and water pump themselves, Conicelli recommended (says Toyota recommends) changing the "idler pully" and the "tensioner pulley". I also see on another site with a kit "idler bearings". I am also going to order the cam and crank seals.

Does anyone have an opinion on what should be replaced or not to bother with related to the timing belt-water pump change. Did any of you not bother with the 2 pulleys? Are there bearings? I figure the timing belt change is a huge project so i'd prefer not to miss anything, but also don't want to overspend for things that really don't need it. Thanks in advance.

i also wanted to mention that i asked about the "heater hoses" and he said he wouldn't bother with them. opinions on this?

the pully's may not be needed, you may want to get a new tensioner(not the pully), and beware of t-belt kits online, stick with toyota oem parts!

i bought and replaced everything when i did my t belt just recently both bearings tensioner belts the works! i used all toyota parts it came out to be about 500 or so in parts as you only do your T belt once in a long while. i said screw it replace all the parts related with the t belt to make sure i have no problem down the line in 100 or 500 even 1000 miles down the line after i replace my t belt. its just that added piece of mind.

Personnaly I went with t belt and water pump from the dealer. As for the crank and cam seals, I would go with toyota ones too...

If you don't have weird noises coming from the front cover, your idlers should be ok.

you should always do your water pump when doing the t-belt since it's basically the removal of the same parts. spend the money now rather than doing/paying for double labor when the pump goes out.
