so i just went and picked this up yesterday, found it on CL a few weeks back for $200 and emailed the guy inquiring about it. but then i decided i didnt want it, as it really wouldnt work for what i was wanting. then last week he text me telling me to come get and that he is tired ot tripping over it in his garage, so for the $30 bucks in fuel, i said sure why not... and well i cant really complain, i do how ever wish he had not junked the steering rack before giving it to me(it was in the origonal add and was still attached when he had it posted, but tossed it cause one of the boots was torn)





i at least got a good front diff with good 4:10s, two good factory axles, and tacoma lower ball joints. the guy was doing a SAS on a friends taco(the guy never wheeled it whit the 6" lift so dont ask me why he was spending the $6k to do a SAS.

Lot of great parts there! the calipers alone are worth $120 just as cores.
not much articulation on those drop bracket kits, but it sounds like the guy had a mall crawler

Dang! He just chopped that thing out of there! LOL!

I'm sure they will find a good use around here! 30 bucks in gas it was well worth it.

You actually get more articulation from it than guys who crank up the coilovers to 3" lift. Running at an equilibrium rather than pushed down is much better. You have equal up and down travel rather than using all your down travel on the cranked coils. This is why you want to stay at 2" lift front max.

Not like I'd do a drop bracket again... simply because the COG is pushed too high. However, I was able to do a lot of difficult trails with mine.

A friend already called dibbs on the calipers, so I've made my money back already, he's gonna try and gave them up to work on his fj40. I only want the axles diff and LBJs. I was thinking on trying to use the drop bracket lift along with the Toytec coilovers so is have a ton of travel, but I don't think that would work cause id end up pulling a CV apart/breaking it on the up travel... the axles won't slow for that kind of travel I don't think... besides I've already invested in the budbuilts and I like them too much to give up, and I'm too lazy to modify them or make my own...
