Just purchased a set of Cooper ATPs

I've been putting this off for months, but I finally pulled the trigger on what I hope is a good set of tires.

I've been debating for awhile on a set of either

265/70/16
or
265/75/16
or
265/70/17

I was worried about losing MPG but I wanted a little lift. Also I found a set of Sequoia 6-split wheels, but for some reason decided to stay stock. (If anybody is looking for a rough set of Sequoia 17's let me know). After reading a bunch of threads it seems like most people who run 265/75/16 don't lose much MPG.

So I finally decided on 265/75/16.

I order 4 from today

So $111.25 per tire. That's the best deal I've seen in the last few months.

I've been running a set in the 265/75/16 flavor since march and about 4,000 miles and they are by far one of the best tires I've had... You can't go wrongness with these
 
I have the exact tires and couldn't be happier. You can see pics in my build thread. I'm sure you'll be happy with them as well...especially for that price!
 
i might jump on this, im kinda worried about the p rating, i have p rated firestones and they seem a little unstable personally, hows the traction in the rain with these?
 
Let the firestone mount your tires. They have Hunter wheel balancing machines, which is one of the best. They'll charge about $18 to mount and balance a tire. I took my tires to walmart and they used two different valve stems on two tires and balancing is terrible.
 
Cooper makes very good tires, in fact they make tires for Mickey Thompson. Anyway, don't let Wallyworld mount/balance your tires. Good luck with your ATPs.
 
I've had the ATPs on since last August,and they've been through everything except deep mud. Only have about 7k on them but they still look brand new.
 
There good tires esp considering the price! I originally wanted the hankook atms or falken wildpeaks but they had the atp's in stock and ready to go. They handle well in all conditions however there not a mud terrian. I'de buy again.

How do you like these tires so far?
 
I still haven't put them on yet. I was going to replace my ball joints first, then I figured I might as well change my lower control arms (rusty), inner tie rods, outer tie rods... then I decided upper ball joints too. So now I'm waiting for my upper ball joints. Apparently i'm getting new knuckles with my upper ball joints.

I'll definitely put them on before the winter comes.

should have just waited... you could have gotten the $75 DTD rebate along with a $80 Cooper Tires rebate .. i just got some HTPs for the 4r, nice and quiet

Whered you get this deal, im buying a set soon prolly gonna go with the a/t3's tho

I didn't buy any, just saw the deal while looking online. If you do only street driving, maybe a dirt road or two, go P rated. There's no need to go LT unless you plan on off roaring. My wife's tires are P and its an extremely comfortable ride.
 
P stands for "passenger vehicle" and that's exactly what a SUV is. The P rated tires have a higher load capacity than a LT "C" tire. Nothing wrong with running the "P".

This past weekend, the name brand Cooper AT3 was selling for $101.75 per tire after all discounts and rebates, delivered. That was a killer deal.
