YOU STOLE MY DREAM!! SWEET....

Congrats to you!!! I am saving for a large parcel as well. Hope to be able to afford 400-750 acres of rural land by the time I'm 50. I plan on have some serious MTB trails and also some private 4x4 runs for camping. Looking near the Rockies, Adirondacks or N.E.

Did you buy land where there are no regular access roads? Land is a lot cheaper when there's no utilities and no regular access bordering the property except for 4x4 off-road capable vehicles.

Congrats, sounds great. My family has done the same with ATV and motocross trails and its amazingly fun. Good Luck with it.

Be careful, sounds a lot like that Chevy Chase film Funny Farm...

vuuuury naaauuuuce! I'm also envious. Enjoy it. SC has some very pretty land. My cousin and her husband live in Greenville and had a house built there. it's quite beautiful!

I'm in greenville right now as a matter of fact.

The land is avaliable to utilities, and there is a road cut through from the previous owner with 5 or 6 sub rods off of that leading all through out the area, as well as a fair amount of 4 wheeler trails. Nothing paved yet though. Currently there is only 1 entrance/exit via a auctaul road. I managed to pick up the property for a very decent price. I auctauly only got a portion of the area that was avaliable... I beleive there was well over 1400 acres total for sell. I gut my cut at 2945/acre. Not to bad, considering where I live now ( greenville ) 1/2 acre plots commonly go for 50k and up, and even out in the "country" of greenville, land is still around 6k and up per acre. I spent all day today surveying the area and so far I found 7 deer stands, a porta potty ( no idea how it got there ) some hunting boots, and numerous camp sites. I left notices at all the sites and on the stands and if not removed with in 30 days, i'll go pawn the damn things... Or maybe some one here wants a new deer stand ? :) Free if picked up ! I also managed to post about 100 no tresspassing signs along all the borders of the land. Once I get a house built, I don't want who knows who out there lurking around. Any ideas for keeping my land prolwer free ?? Also I have a nice creek the runs diagonaly through the land leading to the lake, and i auctauly have about 5000 to 6000 feet of river frontage as one boarder. I'll try to get some plot drawings up before to long and let you guys see what you think.

O, and it is flexo.. :)

WOW!!! that is so cool. I have actually had dreams of doing what you are doing now. One dream in particular is me and my sons going out inspecting on our atv's to inspect the fencing around our land. I guess I watched way to much Bonaza when I was a kid.
