Just put new Revos on!

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here, but I've learned a lot on these forums already. So Thanks! :bigok:

My first deal was to get the worn out tires on my 4R off and get some new shoes on. I was looking at a lot of different tires that match my driving style - lots of on-road in bad weather, some off-road and beach trips - and got a lot of good advice. I ended up opting for 265/70-17 Revos, upsizing from the stock 65s. Bargained around a bit and got them OTD at Discount Tire here in Orlando for $715 including lifetime balancing and rotation!

I love the bigger look of the 70s. I think they fill out the wells so much better than the stock 65s. (Photographic evidence below.) Only really driven home with them so far, but I'll report back once I get them on the highway and in bad weather. So far, the vehicle drives like it's brand new. The tires feel a bit heavier and don't react quite as sharply, but once they get a few miles on them that initial feel will be loooonng gone!

Looks great...I was contemplating getting them also even though the weather doesn't get too bad here in the Bay Area and I haven't done any off-roading yet. Is the white lettering on the inside or did yours come without it?

Just to reiterate what you and I covered via PM... The 265/70's are very cool and a little cheaper than 265/65's for anyone who's interested.


Looking forward to an update after you get to drive in the rain, get a few miles on them and get the tire pressure dialed to you taste.

Guys, got a bunch of rain this week, and these tires never felt out of contact with the road, even one bit.

I've put about 1k mi on the tires and they feel more sure-footed than any tires I've ever run. In the rain, through puddles, even at highway speeds, and I never once felt even a shake in the steering wheel.

If anyone is looking for tires, I would highly recommend them. They might be a little more expensive than some others, but I can't imagine any tires performing better than these!
