Just repainted my center caps

I initially repainted my center caps with the silver with the "T" filled in with red but I used Testors model car spray and it didn't hold up to the UV rays for more than a year before they yllowed pretty bad so I had to redo them so I decided to try something different and went with a charcoal metallic but haven't done the "T" yet.

Here's the Testors spray job when done which looked good at first

I really like the first pic of the red painted T. Do you have a link of the paint you used?

For filling in the "T" I just used touchup paint which was Toyota Super Red II by Duplicolor;it can be used with a brush or like a pen.

I hope to finish my caps with the red this weekend.

that looks hella good! i did the same a few months ago. painted the logo on the cap with the touch up paint from the dealership. what color is ur Runner? Evergreen pearl? frikin beauty. where did u get the TRD decal?

Duplicolor Import Color Spray Arctic Silver matches the OEM rim silver quite well and for the red I used Duplicolor scratch-fix in Toyota Super Red II.

Toyota calls the green Jade Mica and I got the decals from an guy on ebay who goes by Streetgraphics and he's hit and miss on carrying the TRD decals since I think Toyota jumps his case and tells him to stop but he still seems time to time get them up on ebay for a while. I wish he would be allowed to sell them since he offers every color,chrome,camo,star&stripes and in Sport,Off Road,All Terrain,TRD Tundra and TRD 4Runner options.

I got the pair plus 3 smaller simple TRD decals for $32 shipped.

I got a great tip on filling the "T" -----

Paint the "T" first so you don't have to worry about mistakes then once dry fill the "T" with dishsoap and let harden then just simply spray the rest of the cap with the silver/clearcoat and then when dry just wash the soap from the "T" and voila!! - Your done

What grade of sandpaper should you use to prep the center caps with?

Use a very fine sandpaper as the plastic of the caps seems kind of soft.

wish i had the 5 star rims over the sport. looks good, i'm thinking about doing something to mine similar pretty soon.
