Just Talking About My 4runner

I still love my 4runner I got about 6 months ago. I love that its used, its old, it was cheap, and it runs GREAT. I love it so much more than my 2007 Frontier 4WD that I had.

It currently has 206k on the clock. I haven't done much to it, but heres what I have done and what I plan on doing.. Maybe Ill get some pics tomorrow.

Bought this 4runner with 197,000 miles on it for about 4700$ Its 4wd Limited. Oh and a Suspension Lift.

Was told it just needed a new compressor belt, threw a belt on and it burnt off. Bought a compressor off ebay for 60$ and wham, got AC.

Hurculined The Floors
It smelled quite funky and I was in the mood for cleaning, I removed all Carpet, Seats, everything..
I lined the floor with Hurcuiner. Which I still LOVE. When ever my floors need a little cleaning I just disconnect the battery pull the drains and take the hose to it. No worries what so ever. Only issue with this is a little bit of road noise. I found that thick goodyear floor mats help out alot!

I hated the Limited Trim, so I decided to tear it off. Love the look, minus the holes.. Still have not decided what to do with the holes, but I think a paint job is in the near future which Ill get these taken care of.

I had starting issues. Removed my starter, took it to get it repaired. Costly and didn't help. Swaped it out for a refurb, costly and didn't help... It was a 1.00$ battery terminal.

Did a few mods, such as...

ISR
Deck Plate
Painted bumpers
Installed Hella Lights
Removed Pinstripe [looks sweet]
[short list I know]

I changed just about every fluid you could imagine. [I love this truck]

I have been neglecting it ever since though, just driving it every day as I was working 70hours a week. Actually didn't have the rear bumper on for almost 3 months.. Till I discovered a Car Parts Lot, in which I have discovered my new pastime. I love looking for parts in there which I can get for soo cheap. I reccomend it to everyone.. Sad to see all the Cash for Clunker 4runners..

Well I plan on doing a few things to this truck..

Finally gonna get some good tires. Going with 285/75/16 BFG KM2 M/T
Getting a rood rack.
Painting it [maybe myself?] Flat White.
Painting Rims Flat Black
Maybe getting a small body lift, just to add a little more height.
New grille [I don't know the fancy word for it]

Only issues Im having with my truck is its starting to do this strange thing. It happens when I come to a stop and then let off the brake the truck kinda jerks. Im sure its something going but what exactly?

Lets see some pictures! 4runners are just so damn adaptable to whatever you want of it.

:worthless

Did you paint the bumpers yourself? I am Looking into this as is SilverBullet and we need some info on it, and sounds like a cool truck, i love mine too.

The Cash 4 Clunkers runners are living on through all of the parts that i snagged off of them (at my dad's job, scrapyard) to keep mine in somewhat of respectable condition.

Try greasing the driveline.

wow we almost have the same story! hahah i bought my 98 limited about six months ago for $4500 with 197,000 miles now only 202,400! the only diff is it wasnt lifted but did have BFG allterrains.

I did this quite recently..

Along with the every fluid must be changed trip I was on.

However I may have gotten it backwards. I may do the jerk thing right as I come off the gas and go to the brake. Ill pay more attention next time..
