hi im a new guy to the forum

so i just got a 97 2wd sr5 4runner..
need ur guys help...
every time i start the truck a pumping motor sound comes from under the hood and it happens whenever the abs light turns off...is tht normal..?
sometimes the sound doesnt occur once i get on the road?

pretty sure that is your ABS pump for the anti-lock brakes, I am sure someone else will chime in and confirm/deny my claim. It's a normal occurance.

one other thing...if u look closley my rear and front bumpers are not fully touching the body..r they like tht in some cases?.
im a begnr.. sorry bout the 21 quest...

and my mod list..one thing fur sure is i want to get bigger tires and 16"r size? not sure yet..roof rack bush guards ...i know i have a lot to learn...

Small chance, but it could be your power antenna motor. Mine makes a sound like a seized up pump. It's probably the ABS like drinkmolson said, but you never know.
