K&n Fipk ?

Hi all, Carsdomain.com is currently out of stock on KNN 63-1076 FIPK for 4.0L 4RUNNER. The lowest price that I can get right now is ebay $220 + $15 + 7% TAX. Do you guys know anywhere else I can get it at lower price than this? Thanks in advance

Why not just buy the drop-in since the horsepower gain vs $$$ isn't going to be worth it IMO? Do 4th gens have something like the deckplate mod on the air box and a drop-in? On 3rd gens that $12 mod nets the same wheelhorsepower (7-8) as the $220 K&N kit.

Yeah! I used to have 2000 4runner. I did hacked the the air box and droped-in the Amsoil as well as removed the intake resonator. The result was so great in both area; throttle response and sound wise. And I don't look at the horsepower gain as the main reason. However, this 05 is less than two months old, and I could not put the cutting blade on her yet. Again, the drop-in alone doesn't give any better sound, or throttle. Hack the box or replace it with straight pipe will. Look like the second option is better for me, since it keeps the manufacture warranty alive. Oh! Just another 34 months to go and I'll give her a throat surgery. Thanks man.

Alright! Thanks Edge. You're just sound like my brother. He extremely against the idea of hacking out the air box, or installed a naked K&N FIPK. He asked me if I don't smoke weed then why would I wanna do it to my 4runner (smoke dirt). Well, I guess it's time to save those $$$ for something down the road or just simply spent them on a good looking hooker while I'm going to Miami next weekend.
