Hey Casper, what do you mean the VSC is tied into the intake? Do you mean it uses a vaccum line? What does this do for the VSC? Thanks.Casper said:lucky bast ard,
I spent a few hours the other day trying to tinker and come up with what would have to happen (and if it would be possible for me to make an intake) to make an intake.
its not going to be easy....
the VSC is tied into the intake (rear resonator) as well as a few other sources needed.
Interesting, the VSC must be partially vaccum actuated instead of being a fully electrical solenoid.Casper said:Out...
yeah the rear resonator on the intake tube is actually a vacum line for the VSC system. I pulled off that line and after trying that I capped off the inside of that resonator and the VSC lights lit up like a christmas tree.

I can't find any place to buy it... On another note, does anyone think that a FIPK for an '04 4.7 will fit my '05? I don't see why it wouldn't...Casper said:

Ohhh, I get it. They didn't give you one yet. I thought they designed one on the spot and you had it on your ride when they gave it back. I guess it makes sense to do it that way. No hurry, thanks for the reply.ptgarcia said:No update yet. When K&N returned our 4Runner they said it would be a couple months before having anything ready. They also said they may need our 4Runner one more time to install the kit and take pictures for the instructions. I'll be sure to post an update as soon as I know anything.
