Update 5/25/08 with EMU Lift and New Car towards the bottom of page 2

Update 5/25/08 with EMU Lift and New Car towards the bottom of page 2

It's been a long time since I've posted any photos of my truck, and I thought that my special new bumper deserved a thread. So here are some updated photos, including Dave's work on the bumper. My signature has current mods listed.

Future plans are an OME front and rear lift and most likely 285/70/17 Cooper STTs, although I may go with the same-sized Nittos. In addition, I have a 1.35" RB Lift to install.

First few pics are of Dave welding the bumper mounts onto the rear frame. You can see him heat up the top tab then hammer it down and weld it to the top of the frame. These are essentially hitch recievers.

wow, very nice, looks put together well...

I like it... Wish I had the time to put something together like that.

That is really fricken nice ! Good job .

So I take it you are pulling the DS lift and Xreas and going with OME.

What is that 1.35 RB lift you speak about ?

I thought you had a light bar also on top ? Not off road light but ER lights.

Do the final photos have 265's or 285's on it ?

Yes, pulling the Daystar lift and going with an OME lift (most likely) since I want better off road performance. The Daystars are nice, but I am getting more into off roading so I think this is the way to go.

The Fire Department Lightbar was removed, as I will likely be getting off road lights for up top. I have interior lights across the rear hatch, in the front window, grill, etc. I'll be posting pics of the "undercover" lights once I'm done installing the last batch, which should be here this week. The lightbar is for sale.

The 1.25 RB lift is a Roger Brown 1.25 inch body lift. I've got it already, just have to find time to install it.

The truck has 265/70/17 Revos on it now, in the photos above.

Thanks for all the compliments! :D

Hey buddy! I see you've been busy...LOL. Rig looks great Karl. Happy Holidays! We'll have to get the gang back together in the spring.

Ed.

Thanks for the compliments- we cut two small holes in the bumper, more or less square, through which the brackets (welded to the frame) extend. Easy enough to get a new bumper cover if ever needed.

Wow, that looks pretty sweet!

I was thinking to myself...Isn't this the guy that had a whole bunch of lights on his 4runner?

I'm looking forward to seeing your new undercover lights. All I have on my 4runner is a slimlighter in the back (you can't see it in the day because of the tint & I can also lower the window if it is not bright enough during the day) and I have (2) TIR3 lights mouted right behind the front grille, enough lights for me. :D

I'm hoping my grill lights will come in tomorrow or Friday so I can have them installed by the weekend. Once there in, I'll post more photos/videos.

Mark and Ed- Good to hear from you guys! We need to set up a get together sometime this spring.

Videos of the new light set up will be posted soon.

It's very interesting, and nice job.
I'm a little curious about importing 4th gen 4runner to Iceland and put it on 44" tires. Alittle bit more comfort and a bigger powerplant than the old 3VZ-E engine...
They stoped importing 4runners in 97 I think here in iceland, which is kinda sad. (For me at least)
Nice rig tho' I'd like to see one on 38" or 44" tires. :D

Looks great! Still got the Knight Rider lights in the hood scoop? I would love to see her up close. Nice weld job too.

Knight Rider Light is still there! Videos to come soon. Let's plan for a get together this spring, its been too long.

Yes it has been a long time. I saw Ed a few months back. He came over to my house to do a front brake pad change. But we do need to chat together and pig-out somewhere.
