Armor tech offroad mod was good for 03-09 but they look like they'll work with 5th . took a rough measurement same as 4th so will give it a go .

After about 6 months it was looking pretty rough. It was breaking down in some places and had a lot of stains from mud. I decided to peal it off a month or two ago. The dip did an amazing job protecting the paint from scratches on the trail. This year, however, I think I'll just accept the fact that if I wheel this thing it's gonna get scratched and dented. The dip is about $250-300 for a solid coating and I'm not willing to continue doing that year-after-year.

Good to know about the PlastiDip; I was thinking about doing my 2015, but will just deal with the pinstripes and such like a big boy.
I lived in Tulsa for quite some time, and wheeled my 3rd gen often. Would have been cool to have a gang like you guys to take a trip or two with.

That's why I think il just lineX the whole dang thing for $2k or something. One and done! Pricy but super protection. I've had it save me from carnage rubbing rock on my 80.

I completely agree. I've got a couple deep scratches on the roof that are starting to rust....it would be a good investment if someone were planning to keep their rig for the long-haul. But not in my budget right now, I need to purchase some comfort items first (roof rack, RTT, Awning, Fridge), so I can bring the family along on my adventures.
Just wanted to give you a heads-up. I washed my rig a couple weeks ago and noticed a very slight rough texture to the clear coat, even after buffing and waxing. There's a possibility the plastidip cold have damaged it a little. It's very subtle, and still better than scratches, IMO. But just something to consider.

I've been on a couple trips in Arkansas the past few months. We wanted to get back over there and explore a little.
[MENTION=65827]MasonT4R[/MENTION] and I took a trip in March with the idea of crossing the entire Ouchita NF using as much forest road as possible. We used the old Central Overland "Trans Ouchita" route as our basis, but we had heard there had been a lot of trail closures since it was last run (~2011?). We decided to treat this as sort of a scouting trip to see if the rumors were true, and planned to just navigate around closures as necessary, possibly creating a new route in the process. This route also includes running the Eastern portion of the fabled K-trail from Hatfield Arkansas to the 3 Sticks Monument in Oklahoma.

Next was a trip with [MENTION=105493]fo' runnin'[/MENTION] over Memorial Day weekend to explore the Buffalo National River area. This was a family/ kid (toddlers) friendly trip; more of a camping than "overlanding" trip really.....with a base camp at an established campground and outings during the day. We didn't run across much trail-wise, but still had a great time camping and exploring. I think we learned that trails can be fun, but they are not required to have e successful trip.
