Just wanted to say, after trying to find some help on Nissan Forums for my Altima, this really is one of the most active & helpful vehicle forums on the internet. Lots of great advice and help for pretty much any issue one might encounter with a 4Runner.

On a lot of other forums (especially for newer cars) literally half the posts to questions are "ur stupid" or "i read an article online once and...". I look like a master mechanic on there compared to most...

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to those that take the time to help myself and others make the most of our vehicles!

Anyone that spends time on other forums knows how great T4R & the community here is.

Was just discussing this with [MENTION=57546]4-Ripcord[/MENTION] the other day.

If you where in a performance Nissan forum you would get some pretty good help. The DSM community I came from was 100 times more active then here. So much R&D being done by so many members its insane. I thought this place was pretty dead actually.

One thing I know is we are pretty nice around here. Some of those other forums are hard core and pretty tough to ask a question without getting flamed hard.
 
Nothing better than empowering others with knowledge I have as well as learning from them also. It ultimately makes for a more enjoyable ownership of one's 4runner IMHO.

For all the cars and trucks I have owned or wrenched on it seems like only the GM sites aren't worth squat.
 
This is defiantly a mellow, enthusiastic, and cheerful thread. It's always somewhat heartwarming when I go on a build thread and see post after post about how their T4R really cool or really neat :usa::usa::usa:

That pretty much sums it up.

As far as this forum goes it's pretty tame compared to some others I hang out on. Which is a refreshing change.

Yup, that is pretty much the troll mentality. Just being a jerk for the sake of being one, because no one will ever be able to confront you about it outside of the internet.

The few trolls we've had on here have been shut up pretty quick since our members and admins don't tolerate it. I like that this is a safe place for people who know little to nothing about cars to ask basic questions and get friendly, understanding answers.

The grand prix forum was pretty good when I had one but yes, most are worthless.
 
I used to spend a lot of time in another 4x4 enthusiast forum (Jeep Wrangler) and they were pretty friendly, but definitely a bit more critical of people asking "stupid" questions.

That is actually one of the very few things I miss about the right coast. Well the attitude and pizza. Real Pizza. And bagels. Real bagels.

The hardest adjustment for me to make when I moved to Cali from Northern Jersey was that people are really sensitive here. I know that is a blanket statement so I'll apologize to any sensitive Cali types now. Seriously though, back east I could tell my friends to **** off or be rude and they gave it back. I've been in fist fights with some of my best friends over stupid shit and a day or two later your having a beer together. Out here, if you tell some one to piss off they get all offended and tell people your rude. Other people. Now that I've adjusted I get along with everyone just fine. Still, every once in a while I have to call a buddy back east for know other reason to give them shit.:lol:

I'm listening to the Dice man here at work & I'm calling all of my co-workers snapper heads & jerk-off's. It's a fun Friday night here. :bounce:
