Keep on turning the DAC button on by accident

This is kind of annoying, but i have no idea if it effects anything. My wife keeps bumping into the DAC button, and will drive a bit with it on. No changes to the way the vehicle drives, so does it matter if its hit on? IIRC the car needs to be in 4LO and first gear for it to actually work, no?

It won't hurt anything. Yes, it needs to be in 4LO for the system to engage. If the light flashes, it means that the condition wasn't met (4LO) for the system to engage.

You can be in any drive gear for it to operate however. The lower the gear, the more engine braking the system applies.

My dog hits the DAC everytime he jumps up front, it is annoying, but on both my 03 and my 08 I haven't found that it actually affects anything other than my OCD

My hand brushes that darn button every 2 weeks or so and I see the light flashing, I don't like the placement of the button.

You could always extend the wiring harness and put the switch next to the diff lock button. Its been done before.

OMG! You pressed the DAC Button while moving!? Do you realize the damage you've done?!

Absolutely none, DAC does not engage until you are in 4Lo and below 15mph. It will just blink to let you know you've accidentally hit the button but the system has not engaged.

Just turn it off and go about your day.

i may have to do this. i want the place of it for my heated seats
