Key remote in my pocket

fore-runner

Whenever I place my key remote to my 08 runner in my pants pocket, occasionally it tends to push the rear hatch window button. I came out from the store yesterday to see my rear hatch window rolled down. I was like wtf! Luckily nothing was missing. Anyone have a solution to that?

that actually happened to me for the first time a few weeks ago.. i parked my truck on base at the the BX in Garmisch Germany, and went to munich for a week.. came back, and the back window was open!!! My GPS and my Zune were in the front in the center console, untouched after a week! Still, was not cool. I think i'll just hold onto my keys until i'm out of range for awhile..haha.. that'll be my solution!

I found a rubber protector that fits over the remote, and helps prevent the accidental panic alarm. It was at the Toyota parts store in Richmond, CA. This one happens to be camo, but they had black, red and blue

I have done the same thing. Gives me an idea for a new cover/protector. Little "Slide" door that covers the buttons before we throw it in our pockets. Hmmmm out to the workshop I go.......:dancin:

I use RemoteTotes.

A good place to get them online is H and A Accessories. They're listed under Honda accessories as "leather remote holder" for $5.95. H and A has been a Honda/Acura dealer for a long time, and they're just now getting into Toyota as well. Good prices and service.
