Keyless Entry Opens Garage Door...?

I just picked up my 04 Limited V8 yesterday, and of course I love it. I programmed the homelink for my garage today while in the driveway and everything worked great. I locked it up and walked away. A few hours later I pulled into the garage, and upon hitting the lock button on the keyless entry remote, the garage door started to close. I hit it a few more times, and each time it responded. Any thoughts on that?

it does sound quite odd but they both work on radio frequencies so it is a possibility. id say hold the garage door program button down for like 10-15 seconds (which should erase its memory) and do it again, that is if you dont want this to work off your fob. once you have it programmed dont hit your fob for a while and the garage door opener should come out of program mode (usually takes like 30 seconds)

also post your garage door info (make/model) some people might want this to work that way for them.

I'd go find out the make and model of the opener, but it's so old that, even if someone wanted one, you couldn't find one to buy.

I had one remote when we had two 4th gens that would work on both trucks. Oddly, out of 4 remotes, it was the only one that worked. It even rolled down the windows and stuff.

I bet its just a fluke and you happened to have the bad luck of having a multi-function remote. may be worth an email to toyota.
