keyless entry stopped working - 04 SR5 v8

It began a month or so ago where it wouldn't lock/unlock sometimes.
Now the truck won't respond at all.

I went to advanced auto where they have a tester, I held it up to the tester and the tester received a signal, telling me the battery was okay.

I also tried clicking the crap out of it when I was in the car, all along the dash and ceiling thinking if the battery was weak, it would work from close up.
No luck.

Please help.

I had this issue about a month ago where it would only sometimes lock/unlock .. one time it wouldn't work at all.

Went to WalMart..picked up a new battery for the remote/fob and hasn't acted up ever since.

Hope your issue is resolved as easy as mine was !

I had the same problem, testing okay but not working.

A new battery worked for me.

I was in the same boat. New batteries fixed it.

The problem with those Fob Testers at Advanced Auto, Autozone, etc. is that they pick up EVERYTHING. Not the best system since you get false positives.

You guys were right! That damn sensor at the parts store is wayyyy too sensitive.
My sister was over yesterday and I swapped the battery from her Rav4 and it worked fine.
New one ordered so I am all set.
