Anyway, I own a 2000 4runner and I would like to install a modern convenience: keyless entry system
but it seems as though just the remotes for the 4runners cost around $30-$40
and apparently i can buy the whole system for that price with a generic remote.
any suggestions/advice?
and is there a way to override the kill switch on some of these systems? Cause I'm not worried about theft, and I have witnessed situations in which the remote has run out of battery and the owner could not start his car and was stranded.
