So here is My build thread with Toyota Inside
Bought Toyota from 2 nd user after 92 k miles in 15 years old (ver: Limited, build '96). Condition was good except silencer and rear sag. Then started changing....But my first 4x4 was LR Disco, and then disaster Jeep WJ. Sold'em quickly to buy 4R.

Toyota's first days in my hand...

First mod came quickly...4WD stuck in 2H...so i made PhD in 4x4... on these 4 runner and get it started working

Soon with a help from my friend from this board - Tucson4Runner - I was able to buy from US some parts like suspension and other. Mounted it...

...and of course tranny cooler from B&M

Next move was interior: dash light were not working so I ordered leds from one of the suppliers - and result is niece and bright

Buying ScanGauge is a good money spending - used several times to cancel check engine (LPG installation makes computer stupid)

To make wheels more black I powder coated it...black!

Exhaust was over (was it original? - dont think so) and in Europe its prohibited to have outlet on right side - so this change was necessary.

And next was wheel hanger, black rear bumper and rear fog light (obligatory to have)

In UK and Japan it was possible to buy HiluxSURF (i.e. 4Runner) with the wheel hanger on the rear. Looking like that. So its my last mod...

Unfortunately 4R doesn't have proper support on back and rear to hang it. I bought rear doors from English 4R with supports inside and build right ones by myself.

Spare tyre carrier as a whole part.

And final look

In my car (96 Lim 3.4) Toyota left some stiffner constr. in the body (upper) for this carrier and 3 holes to make life easier

and lower must be done from scratch

Rear tire carrier looks really clean. I love it. Great work.

best time for this mod id when You need to fix Your rear door or change it (like Blacktpgsr did)

So bein bored of lazy sunday removed grille and paint it a bit, addin extra highbeam lights Hella FF 75.

Being a scientist is sometimes a curse...I want to know what is inlet and outlet tranny oil cooler temperature. Not to make it too complicated i mounted one sensor (in time I will change sides and compare) - its indirect method (worser than direct but still offers good statistical comparison) - results for BM cooler soon.

By the way I made my new mod electrical - added 8 wires to connect inside with the electric inst. I added also new fuse and relay box to handle big currents for upcoming lights and potential other issues.

Using this in few wheelin days I must say its really cool mod. No more bloody space eater in rear! And window in lift gate is really useful with this mod!!!
