KILL ME!!! I can't get this tire stuff down.

Okay guys, try and suffer through this with me.

I am in the near future going to be adding a 3" lift to my truck and going to be needing some bigger tires. I am wanting to get the biggest, meatiest tread I can get while not having to trim much (probably going to get wheel spacers too). I have three dilemmas though, I need a tire that's not totally going to break the bank, has to be good for slushy and sometimes light to deep snow, and I am completely confused as to the biggest tread I can get under there. I have read something about doing a 255 vs. a 285 but got lost in it.

I have three in mind but I'd def look at other options: DuraTracs, Open Country M/Ts, and Cooper STTs

heres one with something similar to what u want. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/off-r...nfed-3-2-cooper-stt-285-70-17-spidertrax.html seems as if he lists both 17s & 18s ?, the 255s will be a bit narrower but with wheel spacers you'll still need to trim. MTs on 18s will cost ya no matter which one of those u get but the SSTs look pretty darn good.

255's are taller but skinnier, which from what I have been told, work better in slushy snowy areas - not that I would know down here in Dallas though.

Had read through that thread a while back but forgot about it. Seeing it again makes me almost sure I want the 285s unless there a single size down tire that would still be good.

Duratracs will work. I think they are the only 1 on the list that have the mountain and snowflake symbol. 285 will require trimming I think, and may or may not fit as a spare. 265/70/17 should be no issues at all, but approx half an inch shorter (if they are all to spec).

Duratracs are my final choice, almost same in price from what I've seen as the coopers and look like they'll handle some crud a bit better.

Anyone know of a good online supplier? Tire Rack was expensive, cheapest so far is $1,067 shipped on eBay.
