Killed a fender flare!

My 3rd gen (2000) has what appear to be Limited fender flares. I took one for a ride against a stump today at Tahuya State Forest in WA. Needless to say, the stump won. I now realize (after taking the whole thing off and piecing it back together) that these flares are attached to the panels via small square holes cut into them that hold small worthless plastic clips. I would take them off, but I don't want to drive around with a bunch of small square holes running the perimeter of my rig. Anyone have a lead on some good aftermarket flares that I can bolt to the cutouts and not cost an arm and a leg?

Is there anyone you can put the flare back on? Or is it totally destroyed? My rear flares came off when I rolled, but the flares only ripped out the previous holes so I was able to just remount them since they cosmetically looked fine, I just needed to redrill the holes into new spots that weren't ripped out.

You could maybe find some online, or craigslist from a limited being parted out but that might be a slow journey... Could always get prerunner flares and then have an excuse to long travel it Good luck.

The flare itself is toast...I have it zip-tied on right now just so my runner doesn't look weird. I want something a little more rugged that could hold up to some abuse.

I don't think you're going to find anything that can take more abuse, unless you get tube fenders but that'd be a custom job as far as I know...

On my old pick-up I had to have flairs to be street legal. I bought some flares and filled the inside with great stuff insulation foam. It helped to keep them a little more rigid. There isn't any aftermarket flares that will hold up to much. At least not that I know of.

I think the stump or rock will always win this battle.

I have seen people remove the flares and weld the hole shut and use bondo to clean it up. Then you have to paint or bed-line over the area.

i just ripped my flares off. . .going to fill the holes and mascara bed-line where they used to be. i personally dont like the look of flares with aftermarket bumpers. they look like wide hips. . . plus they will just come off again wheeling. . .
