king coilover install

I'm finally getting around to installing my king coilovers that I bought from a group buy for a really good price. I went to install them and noticed the bolt hole pattern doesn't seem to match up with the way they came out of the box. If I turn the shock so that the bottom lines up with the bottom bolt hole and the king logo is facing out, the hinge at the top is able to bend in and out just like it can at the bottom of the shock but the holes at the top are rotated like 30 degrees out of place. If I turn the top so the bolt holes line up, then the bottom isn't rotated to fit into the pivot and the top pivot is rotated weird as well. If I rotate it some more so the king logo is toward the inside, the top hinge is now rotated so that the shock can pivot front to back of car no in and out but again the bottom isn't rotated properly.
These are for the Tacoma so that's where I think the problem is but King says they are the same for both. If someone else on here has them, please post some pictures and explain what I'm doing wrong.

no problem here your shaft just needs to be rotated the lower joint and shaft will rotate inside the springs and piston,

bolt up the top 3 bolts then with a screw driver put it in the lower bold and crank away so it lines up. Done.

They are for Tacomas, mine even said Tacoma on the box.

The top will be off by about 30 degrees. The bottom of the shock can be rotated so that it lines up perfectly for the bolt to go through.

like shoot said, they will line up. So the way to do it is this. bolt in the top plate and then take a long socket extension and put it in the bottom hole and rotate till it lines up. not a big deal happens to all of us after having them rebuilt or whatever. You will not be disappointed with the kings, I love mine

As everyone else said just stick something in the lower mount and twist it.

I know [MENTION=120150]TotalAutomotiveLV[/MENTION] is running a pretty good deal on them currently. You'd have to ask them, but I think it's less than 1k

Sounds like those are for the Tacoma, they will work fine.

here are the kings custom ordered. remote resi adjustable 700lbs

Old pulled out. Kings 2.5 custom set up Vs sonoran steel 1.2

Installed and mounted Resi to have access to the Adjustment

It didn't need any adjustment from factory except to check the tightening of the collar allen. its a pain to get to once mounted. It was tight but for the piece of mind double checking doesn't hurt.

Buttoned up and everything worked out well on 3 shake down runs including Hollister Hills. Full access to the adjuster even with 285's

I recently spoke with a King rep who said they aren't making the 25001-333 anymore. Seems like a short lifespan for a product. Did anyone here have problems with the 333s?

Although Part #25001-333 is still listed on the KING website, it has been removed from the Parts List received last month.
