King front coil over adjustment

Got my kings yesterday, and need some input from those running them. What is your thread count for obtaining a 2.5" lift? I want to get it close before I install it, so I don't have to take it back off too many time. Thanks.

Can't really help you with the specifics but I'm pretty sure that they're designed to be adjusted without having to remove them. Fyi

You can adjust them once they are installed. I have a full set of kings for all 4 corners on the way as well. SEMA has them backed up but should be ready in another week for me

You need to have the tool from King with they don't include with their coilovers. The spanner wrenches are sold separate.

Yea I got that, but I had read in numerous posts that they couldn't be adjusted or at least it's difficult to adjust them while installed.

They can be adjusted when installed, but it can be a pain. The t-handle wrench they sell works great for adjusting them when installed.

Another trick would be using a center punch if you have one sitting around. Put it in a vise, heat it up, and bend it a little. That's what I did since I'm cheap.

Jack the front end up so the tires are off the ground, takes the pre-load of so you fight the coil less. Spray some pb blaster on the threads, that helps me a bit with my icons.

650 lbs 14", just trying to get a ball park # to start off with. I know how to adjust them, I had just read that it was easier to do it before install. Guess I misunderstood all the posts that mentioned that. I'll tackle it this weekend and figure it out.

its fairly simple to calculate how much you need to adjust the collar. first measure from the hub to fender, then find the difference between that and what you want. ive taken some measurements of the suspension and the ratio between shock travel and wheel travel is 1.9:1. so devide the difference by 1.9 and then move the collar that much. this will give you relatively close to what you want.
