Knife obssession

Have a love for knives? Ever love them so much the next thing you know you have 20 knives and you really only need 3 of them? I did and started to really obssess over it to the point I just had to throw them away. They were perfectly find but just sitting in a drawer not doing anything. So all I have now is my Leatherman Wave that I take to me to work and many other places, my old swiss pocket knife my mother got for me 14 years ago when I was 15, a spyderco folding knife on a magnet on my workbench for easy access when ever I need to cut something and it's designed to be opened one handed, and a big non-folding buck knife I keep in the toolshed for situations doing yard work where you need a knife, or a strong one.

Your case over knives is mild compared to mine. If you looked under my name you will see that I am a knife collector. Right now I am carrying a blue bone trapper because I am wearing blue pants at work. I pick a different knife to wear or carry everyday.

When I go on long trips that go up North, I try to go by Smokey Mountian Knife Works and may even get a hotel room near by. The store is the largest knife store in the world and is the size of a K-Mart, only this store is 3 stories. I plan trips to manufacters of knives to visit their place, sometimes going well out of my way to visit and of course to buy. If you need to get further hooked, you may want to try this forum:

My name on that forum is Peter78, just like here.

My favorite knife company is Buck, but I have many different types of knives. So, don't throw them away, store them, use them and cherish them.

I was like that at one point, but the most I went out of my way was to a knife show somewhere in the middle of nowhere. (Boy that was an oxymoron)

But for me it became to the point all I could think about is what am I going to do with these knives. I had knives I never opened after I got them. Some people are made to be collectors and some are not. But granted I have a thing for skulls and I have about 12 different of human skulls (all sculptures). I did have one real animal head which I think was a dear but that was falling apart and I was tired of finding pieces of bone in my bed.

But I do agree everybody should have at least one pocket tool if not that a pocket knife for they really come in handy. Oh with the list of what I have now, I forgot to mention my Kershaw tool I keep in the compartment in the trunk of my 4Runner which comes in handy a lot. Also my butterfly knife which I had for many years now that I use to open all the garbage mail I get.

Oh okay...but keep in mind one thing buddy. If I get pulled over by a cop and the cop finds one of my skull sculptures, I won't have a problem, but if he finds that knife in your car, you will have a problem.

Very nice set of guns you have. I see most of your guns have a wood stock instead of plastic. I like the wood stock.

Benchmade auto is a very nice knife, I have seen one before but the price kept me away.:(

Benchmades are expensive. I saw this one butterfly knife, really well made one but the guy wanted $150 for it. I have paid that much for a knife but for a butterfly knife that is not even legal to carry publicly, no thanks.

You guys make me look like a freaking wimp!! All i have is a small Glock 26. Damn, i feel inadequate now....:sobbing:

My Collection

I have a seashell collection.

Maybe you've seen it, scattered on the beaches of the world...

LOL
