Knocking noise in the rear

these components are a little rusted under my rig. if it is the panhard bar like you guys have mentioned, if i try to remove the bolts on these components im worried that i'll probably snap the bolts. where can the replacement bushings be found. finding a new bolt is easy lol.

i figure that since i cant figure out the noise, im just gonna buy new bushings for everything just to be sure cause this noise is driving me nuts. :redbrick:

Oh, don't worry about breaking the bolt. Those are hardened steel, very strong. If you replace them, you should get the from a dealer. A normal bolt likely will not survive there. Mine were very rusty, but they came off with alot of force. They were definitely not the weakest link there.

ok, i figured it out, finally!!!! now to fix it. it was the body bushing in the rear as was suspected in the beginning, here a sweet video showing you what the cause of the noise is:

Good job! It always feels good to be over that kind of annoying crap. Now the question is.. Why are they so loose? I've never had to retighten any of mine. I would put some loctite on them this time!

that one thats knocking is blown, i torn apart that side and its gonna have to be replaced, cant buy them individually so i'm probably gonna have to buy a complete. only one i can find is from 4crawler.com and its 230. im gonna have to rig up something to fix it temporarily until i can afford the complete set and get time to install it

i am a little surprised that this issue hasnt come up before. i havent about it anywhere else. i've read about others needing to replace the body bushings but not them complaining about the noise they make

it does feel nice having figured it out because now i can move on the to the more productive part... fixing the issue
