tapping noise on 1st gen
I've had this '86 (it's blue, hence the blue mule) for about six mos. I got it cheap and like the idea of a project, although my cash flow is very limited. I have alot of questions to ask all of you out there. To begin, about a month in, the water pump went out. The engine did get hot but luckily I was on the home streach and was able to coast down a hill to get home. After replacing the pump, upon starting the engine, there is a knocking noise until it warms up. Is it the valves? What should be my first step? Also, any help with reputable mechanics in the Denver area would be appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to the knowledgeable responses.
