Knocking sounds 4Runner

Does someone’s have an idea on what the knocking sound might be? It happens right after I open the throttle and then release. It’s a one min video..

Sounds a little loud to be from within the engine, maybe a bad pulley? I'm thinking maybe it wobbles some as it's forced to spin faster then slow down some

I don't think that's a valve tap, normally that's the culprit. I agree, it sounds like something is loose and clanking around rather than a rhythmic knock.

I agree with Dev and Game. Have you tried to isolate the noise?

Try a stethoscope to isolate. I had a similar noise on my 5vz when i had to loosen some things to move the knock sensor harness and forgot to retorque the cam pulley. The noise was the set pin hammering back and forth
