I order my tent and got it in about a week. The box is heavy. After taking the stuffs out, the heaviest part are the poles. The poles and flex poles are hefty not those flimsy ones from other tents. The tent material I thought would be a little more thicker since it was canvas. I condition the tent by giving a light spray of water all around and letting it dry. I don't know what the 6 stainless steel bolts and nuts are for. Also, not sure what the black rope is for.

Pros: Took me about 5 minutes to lay it out, erect and stake the four corners. To put up the awning and staking the rest of the 12 stakes probably be about 10 minutes. It's roomy and the floor is pretty thick.

Cons: the poles get your hands dirty and leaves black marks on the tent. I am going to tape it up or use heat shrink tube. I thought the two entry ways on both ends had two doors but it's really one door. You can see the zipper on the right in the pic. I guess it's not so bad having a door on each ends.

It's definitely a good deal because of the 25% discount. I was going to buy the OzTent 30 second set up but this wasn't hard and didn't take too long. I am happy with the tent. Thanks again Savanna for setting this up.

I left the tent over night to see what the results would be this morning. The reasons why were because didn't dry from the water I spritz on it to condition it and the weather is cold so moisture built up on the tent. The pics show that the tent repel most of the water. The roof top on the outside had some beads of water. The awning has beads of water on top and underside. It's actually wet on the underside. You can see my hand print where I touch it. I am 5'6" and I have to duck when I enter from the front of the awning. I would have thought the awning poles would be adjustable. The reasons why you can raise it and lower it. This way you can lower one side so water can run down if needed so it doesn't pool in the middle. Since the awning is low and moisture is on the underside, you get your head wet if you forget to duck. I am going to add another piece to the awning poles to raise it or get an adjustable awning pole.

I used the four stakes that came in the bag along with the black rope. I figure that was for staking the four corners. The pics show that the four stakes are actually smaller in diameter therefore weaker compare to the other stakes. Does anyone know what the four stakes are use for? I took down the tent today. There were pools of water under the tent. This gives me an idea of how it would be to clean and put away the tent if it rain. While taking down the tent, I notice that the roof top didn't fully dry as compare to the awning top. Kind of odd.

Odd on the stake sizes - all of mine are the same size. I would expect that the four larger ones would be for the corners, but I don't know. Maybe it's a difference between the VX and the Deluxe. I didn't get a black rope with mine. Going to test it on MLK weekend out in WV, we'll see how it does. I had hoped to get some warmer weather to treat it, but doesn't look like that's going to be the case.
