Raingler is very popular in the JK world. They have been around for over 15 years and lots of units out in the field. They are making a push this year trying to get on more Toyotas and especially 5th gen 4Runners. The products are made in USA/Colorado, lifetime warranty to original owner, 10 year UV materials, and their nets are worldwide in UN and military/government applications.

"Desert Style Roof Rack Rear Net" and "Desert Style Roof Rack Front Net" are custom fitted for 5th gen Gobi Roof Racks (I believed it also work for other gen tho. If you do not have sunroof opening and I believed there is a way to order a "full net".

Color options: standard SWAT 2000lb 2” black or MILSPEC OD green for a small add't charge. All black hardware and 24’ adjusting straps.

If you order the rack net, anything else will get the same extended discounts too.

Dang it!! I just bought mine about a month ago. I used them to hold my snowboarding gear and it worked great. We had about 60mph cross winds coming home from the mountain and non of the straps loosened and stayed as tight as when I put them on. They don't make a 4th gen roof rack netting but I used the 5th gen and it worked fine. I also purchased the pull handles too which work great.

Anyone know if they have the nets roof nets for a 4th gen, or if 4th gens are using the 5th gen nets id love to see pictures. Only 4th gen stuff i can find are cargo area nets in the back.

Apparently you didn't read the thread!!

The second post I mentioned that I have a 4th gen and I purchased a 5th gen roof rack netting and it fits, I also posted pictures. I have a custom full length roof rack that is about the same size as the gobi if not larger then it. All the straps are adjustable to fit your needs.

Well now i feel really dumb. I dont know how i missed that. What are the handles for? To snug it down or are they hand holds when retreiving items from up there?

No worries, it happens to the best of us.

I got the handles as a cheap addition and I noticed they came in handy when my rack is fully loaded and I can't grab the rail to get up there. So I can grab the handles to get up there or if I am loading things up there and I start to fall back it gives me something to grab on to.

I beleive your correct about the extensions. Theyre also for sale indivdually if you look under the raingler extras section in the store they call them tie downs. Raingler Nets & Grips, Dog Barrier Nets

How can we get measurements on this net? On their website it just says 24" perimeter adjustable straps but does not list the dimensions of the actual net area. I do not have a sunroof, or a Gobi that has separate sections, so I would like one full-length net but curious on dimensions before putting my name down.

I emailed them about that:

* The rear Gobi net is 36x52".
* The front Gobi net is 36x18".

I measured the dimensions of my factory rack. It's 44" wide between the outer edges of the side rails and 40" long between the outer edges of the crossbars at the max separation adjustment.

Great Solution

This looks like a great solution for gear storage! I am looking for something to secure my snowboards on a platform style rack with t-slot rectangular bars instead of round bars. Can't seem to find an adapter to fit my Yakima ski attachment so this could work. Have you seen anything to work with 1"x2" t-slot bars? Thanks!

But you may want to consider getting the "large" (rear) and "small" (front) set. They can be connected to form a full net, WHILE you can use them separately to secure items of varying sizes. I used this configuration, found it very versatile and nice. You can run the large in front, and the small in the rear...... while having the large tie'ing down lower profile items in the front, and having the small one tie down a row of jerry cans....
