Improving performance is a give or take proposition
Yes of course. I'm pretty everybody knows there's a tradeoff when you start changing OEM parts.
When I say performance I mean offroad performance. This is a 4Runner. It's a purpose-built vehicle. It's marketed as a rugged offroad vehicle. How many 4Runner TV commercials have you seen? I bet it's a lot lower than the number of Highlander commercials.
This forum is all about offroading as a hobby and way of life. Because let's face it, there's really nothing practical about the 4Runner as a people hauler / grocery getter for the typical American family. It's expensive, heavy and drinks gas like water. That's what crossover SUVs are for. Anybody buying a 4Runner for these purposes does it for looks.
