Did some more researching/reading after [MENTION=65101]BrianSD_42[/MENTION] suggested and I'm thinking King's with new UCA's as the following:

KING 25001-151-EXT 700
KING 25001-334A
Total Chaos/Camburg UCA (still torn on which..)

What I find interesting to read was the lots of ICON fails or unhappy with it. Very appreciative of the nudges to review things

PS - I'll keep my Superflex coils in the rear for now. Seem to match the KING rears.

I recently switched to kings all around and the ride is very good. The only issue I currently have is the rear shocks are rotating just a tad bit, pushing the reservoir towards the sway bar. I will tighten the top mount of the shocks a little more and see if I can get it to stop rotating. Night and day vs my old set up with Toytec Boss and LC shocks in the rear.

I will tighten the top mount of the shocks a little more and see if I can get it to stop rotating. Night and day vs my old set up with Toytec Boss and LC shocks in the rear.

Just not sure I want to spend that much yet. I know its the right and I shouldn't ever need new since they are COMPLETELY rebuildable from what I was seeing. If you get them make sure you follow the installation instructions from King on the rear shocks. Most on this forum have them installed backwards which exacerbates the rotation problem. The ride is amazing though. Earlier this week I was out in the woods driving very spiritedly. The suspension soaked it all up very well, and on road the ride is much better than before, especially the rear suspension. Pot holes that used to make me cringe are not that bad now. The rebuildable part is one of the best parts, once they're worn for $100-200 a pair you can have a like new set of premium shocks again instead of shelling out for all new shocks each time.

Thanks for the information! Yeah when I added up what I linked it was less than the Stage 5 from Icon (makes me surprised it's cheaper cause its better?). This was one of the reason for the changes/hesitation in the suspension area. When you are contemplating 4k for suspension, I keep thinking that I want to make sure I do this ALL right and not do this again...

Olallie Lake Trip 2018

Did our what is becoming an annual Olallie Lake Loop run on Memorial weekend. The local reservoir and rivers were swelling with all this sun we've been getting and I figured we would see some snow but nothing like we ran into. Now compared to last year we made it about 10 miles further past the point of where last year we couldn't.

This year my new tires did impressively well. I will NEVER buy another set of Duratrac's for what I personally do. But I will say this, you need a A/T style tire and want 60-80k miles out of it? This is for you. I still had over 13/32nd if not closer to 15 on most of them. I may hate them, but they just don't work for me is all.

Now for 2018 - I forgot how much I miss my M/T's




Three rigs with us, myself, dad's Toyota and a Jeep. The Jeep was fully locked and struggled a lot and got stuck multiple times on it's A/T tires. He even noticed I wasn't locked in the front and still doing it without any issue's. We were also all aired down to 15 psi's.

I enjoy the environment and challenges we have but I would LOVE to live in Colorado. My few days I was there just totally fell in love.

What kind of wheeling/adventuring do you have over in Alabama?

It's been awhile since I've posted. Gone on a few outings with the 4Runner, did the loop by our house again and than beach followed by Detroit Lake (during our 100 degree days). I'm contemplating going on a over-landing trip by myself here in a few days. Still on the fence cause of the fire's. From what I'm monitoring it looks like it will be okay.

Still also hard on the fence about suspension upgrades. I will say still I'm so HAPPY about switching my tires <3. I reached a point mentally also that I'm struggling on so thinking getting out and clearing the head. Also flemsters Instagram doesn't help in wanting to get out

I've been reading more build threads that I've quickly gone through and seeing what inspires them on why they did X or Y to the vehicle. Seems to come down to a lot of wants or more situational/location wise for the vehicle.

We shall see what happens....

Not a whole lot around here honestly. Most of the land isn't public, and even what is most of the trails/roads are closed. We have a lot of off road parks around here, which are fun, but not as much fun as being on a real trail somewhere. It's too hot down here to do any wheeling/camping really from mid May through August.

That's a bummer. The extent of my knowledge comes from off-road park video's and the occasional rock bouncer stuff (mainly cause of my dad's right). I would almost trade that though for the fires...currently we have so many on a lot of our area's around here getting rough to say the least. I may be heading out to do some exploring today but man I won't lie the fires scare the living out of me. Biggest fear is to fall asleep and wake up surrounded by smoke...

Been awhile since I posted, ran into some medical issues and than some vehicle issues

I fixed one which was a Miss-fire on Cylinder 4 but now i'm running into a Transmission issue. My father's in Moab for another 9 days enjoying some extreme wheeling. Went with the guy's and took the big boy toys. So I finally got out of the house and my Transmission is doing something weird. It shifted kinda jerky into 4th gear going down the highway. It shifts fine manually but occasionally shifts a little weird when I get on the accelerator. It doesn't slip but I'm going to check the fluid level's. It's not even in the Toyota Troubleshooting manual and nothing I can find via google is saying it. So here is what it does and it doesn't do it all the time:

Accelerating HARD the shift from 1 to 2nd has a slight surge/shift is different than I remember, but not like a slip or a loss but more like a it's accelerating than it goes still more but it shifts different, not hard or rough. Really hard to describe. Than it also doesn't do it all the time and this other issue is even rarer. The 4th gear shift sometimes is like a rough bump. It doesn't shift weird into it I only experienced it maybe 6 times over the 300 miles I drove. It's like you ran over a small object/hole in the road but it's not all the time. I checked the fluid and I think it is low and I'm going to check it again tomorrow but according to what I'm reading on my Toyota Manual it's potentially a Accumulator Control Valve/Solenoid Modulator valve/ B0 accumulator or off vehicle matrix chart (DI-175).

So I'll start with the fluid and go from there cause when i checked it during it being HOT it wasn't at the HOT level so maybe it's low by a little bit, very confused by it cause all my normal experience with any transmissions hasn't done this haha. If I drive it right now (I tested this) and stomp on the gas it doesn't do it but it may do it later on. I'm inclined to think its fluid??

So Fluid isn't low its good. I'm very confused about it, I almost feel like something in the shifting range is wrong, maybe even the ECM

I think i'm going to try to save every penny and hopefully stay out of the hospital and get a backup transmission. To me the Transmission is still good for awhile. If I manual shift from L - 2 - D or 2 - D it never seems to do it. I've tried the ECT and can't really tell if it helps truly or not. If I figure it out I'll post it but hopefully I can figure out how to describe it better.

So I think I figured out what is wrong with my Transmission after trying to troubleshoot it for almost 4-5 months now. It looks to be that my filter is clogged or causing my transmission to be starved of fluid or something weird. I get the whirring noise that seems to be associated with it and its sound is literally the transmission and goes away if the fluid is warmer and has no problem after a little bit (ATF around 150F) and does perfect. I hope this fixes it as I don't have money to fix it.

I know some know my story but I found out 2 weeks ago I have Liver Disease ontop of some new Spinal issues that have literally made it so I can't move. We have several operations but it's taking what seems to me a very long time to get going on them, dang insurance!

I hope that I can start doing more outings and what not after these cause I've been out maybe twice in the last 9 months due to all my medical going on
