So I finally got around to installing the ToyTec ultimate 3" with SpiderTrax spacers and 285/75/17 DuraTrac's Here are the pics:

I agree with everyone else, looks great. I really like the white letters out on those tires too. What load range are the duratracs? Did you have to do any trimming to keep those from rubbing?

Ride feels as good or better, I can feel the higher center of gravity in the off ramps but normal driving is hard to tell. I drove stock for about a week waiting for the tires and I can honestly say the tires make it all mesh.

Love the tires, the noise is not bad guess it all depends on your level of tolerance. If I had to relate it to anything I have heard before its almost reminiscent of a bearing that has gone bad subtle hum.

Trimming:
Check out this thread, I kinda did the same thing but a little more straight up so it's not so obvious to the untrained eye. Also I removed the front mud flaps they got sucked in the second I rolled the truck off the tire shops lift.

Yes its on my list of things that I will add to this site. Have kids so until I get my sliders to help them get in the car I will keep the plastic running boards.
 
It's pics like this that have my search for a 4th Gen underway in the SF Bay Area.

Very very nice . . . just the right amount of lift and attitude.
 
Looks Great! Just curious (not that it matters), what is your gas mileage now with the new tires? My tires weight about the same and I lose almost 2 mpg.
 
such a nice stance.. i was gonna swap rims as well when i do my lift, but i like the factory rims with a beefier tire!

Told mine how the factory suspension had 100k miles on it and that its saggy and needs replacement and Toyota wants to charge as much as the lift to replace it. Plus tax return payed for it!

I will let you know. I had already used the fuel in my tank before the tires were put on but I will put it up as soon as I get it.

I agree not only did it fit in my budget but after looking at the options I prefer the factory squarish wheels. I am hoping over time I could get them powder coated Galactic Grey.

I realize this is an old thread but I'm hoping that krazedjd will see it and reply. Anyone else's help is appreciated as well

This is almost exactly what I want to do to my 2005. Toytec 3in lift, 1.25 spacers and 285/70/17 Duratracs.

Please tell me if you had any issues on or off-road, any tips/tricks to make this setup work smoothly and anything else I may need?
