I think you're right about the spiders, unfortunately. I've already encountered a couple working on this thing :spider:

It's a 1971 Ford F100. It's got a 360 FE motor, 4-speed NP-435, and a 1 speed Dana 21 transfer case. 9" rear and a d44 front. No power steering, the brakes currently don't really work, and it's rusted out haha. It's awesome :rockon:

As far as wheeling places, I still haven't found anything. Tons of places to go mudding though, and that might be what this truck ends up being haha.

Wow, I read this whole thread to find out at the end, you sold your 4runner and bought an old Ford.... That's like falling in love with a women and getting to know them for a few years then they suddenly tell you their used to have wiener. Shocked, suprised at the ending, lol.

I actually never got around to mudding the Ford! I ended up selling it to fund my skydiving habit. What can I say, I'm a hobby whore haha.

Yeah this is definitely the vehicle I regret selling the most! Many good wheeling trips were had in this.

If anyone wants to be really sad, check this out. My roommate had the twin to my 4runner, a '99 Highlander with the e-locker, except it was an auto. And just a little bit before I sold mine, this happened:

At least my 'runner went on to live (and hopefully wheel) another day. This one is still sitting at that exact same spot to this day

He made the mistake of letting a girl drive it out on the back roads up here. She swerved for a deer, and they rolled it a couple times and hit a tree. Everyone walked away, thankfully. There's been talk of parting it out, or swapping the body out and making it a trail rig, but nothing has happened so far.

I'm shocked it's still there...

if that was at lower sycamore creek AZ, people would be doing mean things to it... like:
stealing crap off it
running over with other vehicles
setting it on fire
as much vandalism that is humanly possible...
