As she sits now:


I bought my 2004 4runner in June of this year after rolling and totaling my TRD FJ Cruiser.




My 4runner started its life as a bone-stock grocery grabber owned by my next door neighbor. I wanted to go into this build using only quality parts and keeping everything as stealth and OEM looking as possible. I have done all installation myself.

Day 1:

gotta say, the 4runner is nowhere close haha. but much smoother on the road which is cool with me. and hell yes I miss it, it was a TRD edition loaded to the max. That thing took me anywhere

Next I installed Bilsteins with OME springs up front with a daystar 1.5 spacer in the back. I painted the springs orange to keep with my theme.


Then I painted the grill black and the front emblem orange


As well as paint matched the mirrors and had 5% tint installed all the way around



Then I decided to try something unique and paint the badges all two tone orange on black

Next were the all pro 1.5" wheel spacers and new tires. Went with nitto terra grapplers







Resonator delete and painted the trim on the rear bumper black

How much trimming did you do in the front to fit the 285's?

thanks, I like it to be unique. I had to remove the mud flaps up front, trim about 3 inches of inner fender and about an inch on the bottom corner of the actual fender, and push the inner fender forward about an inch. About 20 minutes worth of work, not too bad at all. I can post a pic if anybody needs it.

Here ya go.

Unbolted this screw and pushed the inner fender forward about an inch, checked my clearance, re-drilled and re-installed.



Then trimmed 2-3 inches off the bottom of the inner fender



It was still rubbing in reverse at full turn so I trimmed about an inch off f the bottom corner of the outer fender (white part)



And now no scrub at all! Seriously took me all of 15 minutes by myself.

Also during the lift install I sprayed the entire undercarriage black since I had the wheels off and suspension apart.

Led Interior lights. I got them from superbrightleds.com and bought the brightest options available for all bulbs. Cool white color.

Awesome, never seen that page before. Nah not really, we just go around the cattle pastures at school or at people's land. I don't know of any real trails up this way

Nice LED's, how much that cost you and how long it take you? Any wiring involved?

Did your FJ have a set of the grapplers on it as well? My brothers got them on his Sierra and swears by them. They're pulling my vote over the BFG's.

OP hasn't been active since 2014. If you lift, generally you're going to need an alignment.
