Kumho Road Venture AT51 Tires

Just had these installed today and the improvement over stock is very dramatic. Handling, braking, everything is so different. Some of that is new tires, obviously, but the rubber compound has a ton more grab, and they roll easier, stop better, and are no noisier than OE. Interested to see how they do in snow and ice, supposed to be very good in winter conditions.

Found them on-line at Tire Buyer for a great price, and the new Discount Tire in Idaho Falls matched their price. 4 new on/off-road tires, out the door, less than $600!

I am always amazed every time I am in a store watching the guys in the backroom hustle all day every day.

I’ve had these on my rig since December of last year. They’re awesome on the trails and ride very well on the road. Great wet weather performance. We didn’t get any real snow last year so I didn’t get to test them in the snow yet [emoji853]

I still have 13/32 of tread left on them and I’d say I’ve easily put 10,000 miles on them.

They do develop a very quiet hum above 40mph, but it’s not even discernible when having a conversation in the truck at a normal volume

Ive been selling quite a few of these tires past few months. Tacoma guys love them so far and even sold a set last year to a guy with 80's dodge plow truck and he still loves them.

I'll be putting on my new tires in a week or two after I get them. Discount Tire by me (western Washington) did not have them in stock and they were 4 - 5 weeks out for shipping. They also were charging me over $750 out the door, so I bought them through Amazon for $533 and will have Discount install them. I'll post pics as soon as they are on. They get great reviews right behind BFG AT KO2s, which I have on my other 4Runner.

Have had a chance to run through some mud and snow, performance is at least as good as the Hankook DynaPro ATMs I ran on my old XJ. And these are not as noisy on dry roads.

Drove up Teton Canyon today...

Snow got deeper the higher we went, was rubbing the undercarriage in spots. Several other rigs had been up there and the snow was packed and icy in many places. These tires kick butt.

got these put on 2 weeks back. Just in time for the noreaster and winterstorm that hit us.

They performed above expectations. Previous tires were TRD Pro wheel/ OEM Nitto Terra Grappler, and Trd Pro wheels with Cooper ST MAXX 255/80r17.

With oem and Cooper, i had some issues where abs would engage in braking, especially with the road being wet. Seems to have no issue with the AT51.

Also driving in snow/slush, the AT51 stopped way better then i've had, and drove through snow like a champ. Rides better then Load E ST Maxx also.
