LA to Grand Canyon

Am considering a family holiday driving to the Grand Canyon during Spring Break March 25th - April 8th or thereabouts.

We plan to do some offroading during that time.

No specific plans at this stage.

Any info of offroad adventures worth doing please advise.

Anyone interested in coming along?

Grand Canyon! Want to come to Las Vegas and pick me up? I'll be there from February 21 - February 25. If anyone lives in LV or will be there during those days.. let me know and we'll go have a drink!

Maybe go through Death Valley on the way, I'll be there with some guys from Yotatech. Still working on the complete "agenda" for DV.

North Rim

We visited the North Rim last fall. Visited Zion and Bryce Canyon along the way. Also nearby was a neat place called Coral Pink Sand Dunes, it is just as the name describes.

The approach to the North Rim is very scenic, perhaps 10 miles of lush mountain meadow. If you drive at dawn or dusk be carefull of the deer.

There was one 4WD trail that I found, a couple hours each way, that took us to some nice views of the canyon.

I will look up the places you have mentioned. Being new to the US I haven't a clue where to go, what to see and how to get there. Maps, books and internet are my friend....I love planning out trips

I'll keep an eye out to the YT boys plans, although they scare me a bit with their extreme driving skills. :
