Ladder Pics

JKRunner

Need a little help...I really like the LFD crossbars that attached to the OEM roof rails and will be purchasing them soon but would also like to add a Ladder to my 4runner as well. I have been looking all over the forum and cannot seem to find a picture of a 4runner with the stock roof rack and ladder combo.

I know people will say “why do you need a ladder” when you can use a side step or tires but the Lord has made me a short individual.

So my request is could anyone please post some pictures of a stock roof rack with a ladder.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

Thanks for asking this question, and posting that pic. I've been wondering about a ladder myself...mainly for being able to wash the top of the truck if I'm honest, but thought it would look stupid without a better rack. That looks great though.

strapped a queen mattress/box spring to my roof yesterday. took up the whole length of the gobi rack and hung over 6" on each side. having the ladder to climb up the back to figure-8 the straps made the job a lot easier, especially in the high winds we had. they really can be useful.

my boy HaydenATX had a gobi ladder with the stock rack for a little while

I found the addition of RAGO Ladder Extensions helpful in getting up and down.

rusty?

Living up here where we get winter and snow for 8 months, the hatch is constantly coated in dirt and wetness. Seems like any metal rusts up quick, unless its aluminum, seems like a dying battle. How do you guys recommend to protect that metal,do those ladders rust up badly?,
