lagging/stalling issue with 2000 limited 4runner

Recently I had my 2000 4runner (with 137k miles) detailed and the next day I started having problems with it lagging/stalling while at stop lights idling. I was told they didn't pressure wash inside the engine compartment. It seems to be more common in the morning while it is warming up and it really doesn't have a pattern of when happens. Some morning it will cause me problems and others it will work fine. My check engine light has never turned on so I can't run it for codes. Has anyone seen this problem? Please help!! I was told once before it could be the coils or maybe an alternator problem. Thoughts?

By stalling do you mean that it actually dies and you need to restart it? On the emissions tag under the hood is your vehicle listed as Federal or California Emissions?
