I have been thinking about this for a good while now.. I have a 6" lift runnin 33's.. Fuel mileage really isnt my concern because i would rather have the looks and performance of the lift and tires.. this is also my daily driver though.. driving back and forth to school uses a little bit more than a full tank of gas one way.. i was wondering if anybody knew about an aftermarket bigger tank that gets another 5 or so gallons?

To the best of my knowledge there is no extended range fuel tanks available for our 4th gen 4Runners, I have searched before but had no luck.
What type of lift are you running by the way? There are not too many ways to get a 4Runner to 6 inches of lift. And how far is your commute? I have friends running 7" of lift on their 4Runners and they still get hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of miles on one tank....

I have read on the FJC forum that there is some little tank that can add some fuel. My guess is that it would be easily adaptable if you relocated the spare.
Aussie Prados have a bigger tank too. I think getting the parts is cost prohibitive though. For the money you could have a great rear bumper with one or two gas cans on it.

Damn,.. How far away do you live from school? What kind of mileage are you getting?
the lift was on when i bought the truck but its a toytec 3in suspension with a 3 in spacer.. not sure what brand on spacers.. one way is about 5 hours up and down hills.. i usually get about 15 on that drive just because its so much up hill.. no interstate just 4 lane highway..

A 3 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift? Not sure what you mean by spacer as you can't have 6 inches of suspension lift with stock arms (unless you are 2wd and running spindles).

Living in Alaska and driving hundreds of miles when I go into the wilderness, I had also looked for ways to increase the driving range. I did not find any extended range fuel tanks, but I found these Rotopax gas cans:
