Largest tire on 20" wheels

I am looking to add some 20" aftermarket wheels to my '10 Limited. What is the largest tire that will fit on a 20" wheel with no rubbing and no lift?

275/55 or 285/50 i have 275/55 on 20/9 inch rims.

the stock 20's on a LMTD are 20/7 and they suck ..... so get some wider 20's

I have 285/50s on the stock rims. I'd rather have wider rims, but there's been no problems with these.

I am looking at some 20x8.5's, but the local shop has few options and none that I like. They don't seem to really want to go out of the way to help out either. So I am looking online, but I never purchased wheels/tires online and am a little apprehensive.

I agree. The stock rims are just too narrow with such a bulky vehicle.

Tire Rack Installer info I've used TireRack.com twice now at two different installers. Seems they have a good network of who can install tires that are bought from them. Each dealer had reviews, info about what they can and cannot do, and its all listed up front so you don't get hit with a hidden charge or something. Put two sets of tires on my old tC that way and it worked out great. Maybe something to look into! Good luck!

So to be clear 20x9 rims with 275/55/20 tires will not rub at all with no lift. Its like a straight swap !!
