largest tire on 2000 limted

First time poster here.

I have a 2000 limted with the stock five spoke 16" rims. Time for new tires and have a few options in mind. Stock size is 265/70/16 and wanted to know what is the widest tire that i can put on and still retain stock sidewall height and be safe to put on the rim.

would the rim accept a 275/65/16 or other. or just the largest tire that i can put on without have any issues. the tire will have to be an all-season tire.

265/75 is the biggest since 275 would be too wide especially if you have the 1" lower springs you might get a little rub. If your truck was early in the '00 production you might have the taller springs tho'.

That size 275/65 will work with no rubbing on a stock setup.
