Last Days if Paragon AP

Day 1:

i actually went to PAP for the hell of it thinking some guys from this forum would be there, yeah, not the case. but i did see 4 FJ's so i stopped and talking to them. and we ended up all riding together. Place was ridiculous, at least 500 rigs and 75 quads.

We got some crazy pictures that ill post up tomorrow, but it was about 9 degrees all day and they got atleast 8 inches of snow the night before. Snowy and ICE EVERYWHERE. it waqs ridiculous. trucks slipping and sliding. mud pits were unrelenting (i lost a shield to one of my piaa's) and i made an attempt to pull a wrangler out from the mud/ice pit, but he was way to high-centered. i do have pictures of me towing him, haha. but all in all it was ana amazing trip. well worth it. and im actually extremely impressed with the FJ's. i knew they were good but DAMN. effortless in one area i got stuck (not enough momentum).

But yes that was the day. deffinately worth the 2 hour drive.

Great Photos! I smell a front runner for T4ROTM.....oh wait that is the smell of mud on the exhaust of the jeep...

Great choice of 4R, have close to the same setups, and now I see the HELLA FF50 Driving Lights you have mounted and it gets me thinking, dang it, did you drill the holes yourself?


Also, like your use of the rear window up/down capability by pinching the tow strap in there I knew that window feature was good for something, besides letting my dog check things out the back.

haha thanks...yeah ive been here for over a year and still no recognigtion lol kidding...


but yeah the holes were there already. they are bumper mounting screws so i just unscrewed them, lined up the light bracket and screwed it in. took all of 5 seconds. barely any work.

i did have one casulaty that day, but considering the terrain im happy thats all i lost. considering the pure ice, down turtle and basic doom to the left. i lost the rock cage in fornt of one of my PIAAs, but its already been ordered.

I'll have to check my Westin, but I am pretty sure I don't have screw mount holes on the top of mine, only the ones where my PIAA 525s are mounted. I have been looking for full covers for my 525s for a little while, as I want to completely cover them up at times, not just the rock guards, but not much luck....seems they only have the rock guard covers for the PIAA 525s....but then again I would be covering up the cool blue LED light that the 525s give off.

But you have my vote for T4ROTM, the picture towing the Jeep is probably enough.

OHHH you mean the 2nd set i put on the westin...

that i actually went to Lowes i believe and found this in the electrical ailes. its weird but maybe i can find it and show you what i mean. if not ill take a picture of mine. i actually coated mine in black enamel from the can and just let them dry up. nice protection and perfect match to the westin bar. To moount those i had to cut an old leather belt into straps and thats how the clamp is so tight on my bar. just tighten it up and you wouldnt believe how well it holds.

Do you think your 4R handled everything pretty well ?

I was surprised at some of the general shots on the trails where I saw the Jeep GC , Jeep Liberty , Durango ect.... that looked stock.

I envy the fun you guys had , there are no guy's to hang with here and do that stuff , most of my wheeling is done where I'm not supposed to be and alone. BUT , I do go everywhere with this thing and still love its off road abilities.

me and just about everyone else there, especially the jeep guys. were impressed with my truck. especially since i have street tires (dunflops) granted hey sucked it up down ice, but who wouldnt? im just happy of how i did and how everyone else loved how it handled.

where did you get that recovery shackle for the 2" reciever? I have been looking all over for one and can't find it. I would like to run a setup like yours with the recovery shackle and cb radio antenna.

not sure about ironadrenaline's shackle but this may be what you are looking for.... I got mine from Amazon, Superwinch brand. I don't have a cb antenna on mine, so i am not sure if that is a special mount.

That looks good, do you think it would do any structural damage if I drilled into the 2" reciever hitch to mount the antenna?

what i did was, on the actual shackle there was a hole. and i got a mount from paragon and just looped it through the hole on the shackle pin.

and by the way, it was just a flag. i WISH i had a cb. could have come in handy. but yeah thats what i did.
