I know everyone is sick of hearing about the 13WL 199mm caliper upgrade for our trucks but I had to RAVE about the results.
It took me about 5 hours. Why? I had to keep stopping to get somethings.
My advice: DO IT! If you dont need it do it anyway!!
Get all your tools and everything before you sit down.
I studied and studied this upgrade for months.
(2) 2001 Toyota Sequoia Calipers 13wl
(2) 2001-03 Toyota Tundra Rotors
(1) set of Autozone Ceramic brake pads
Anti-squeal brake grease for pads
Tin Snippers (cut the dust shield a bit)
10 mm wrench (bleed brakes)
large socket to remove caliper (18mm)
(I think that is the size)
Lots of Rags and brake part cleaner
DOT 4 Brake Fluid (1 bottle should do it)
Jack and Jack stands
1 helper to bleed brakes
Lots of patiences!!
TOTAL COST: $285 for everything!!
The only problem i had is when I was bleeding the brakes. It had alot of air in the line so the pedal kept going to the floor. Got the air out and MAN!
It is still not as tight right now as I want it, but I will bleed again tomorrow!
It is night and day. No more vibrating dashboard or shaking steering wheel.
SMOOTH braking.
Remember, you must have at least 16" wheels to do this. They are over sized calipers so they will not run with stock 15" or smaller.
Autozone is the place to be.
I got my calipers from junkyard off a wrecked Sequoia. Perfect condition!!
I will take pix when I get ready to paint my calipers.
