Lastest on 2014+ Front Bumpers

If your all like me I am greatly anticipating some more designs and releases of front bumpers for the 2014's and up. Here is what I know so far and you can add to this list if you have intel.:dance:

Right now we have

Shrockworks - Available Now "LOOOONG WAIT"

Southern Speed Style- Available Now- Bumper insert not full replacement bumper "Group Buy in-works" Also coming out with Full bumper replacement this year

Demello- Should be Available within the next month or two as they are putting the final touches on.

4x4 Labs- Luke is just finishing up his design and it is "BADASS" he will also be offering a rear bumper as well. Id say this will be available with in the next few months as he too is in the final stages.

CBI Fab- CBI states they have plans for a front bumper so we shall see.

Pelfreybilt- They state they are in R&D and also will be coming out with bumpers for the 5th Gen.

That 4x4 labs bumper is screaming for some light bars to fill that gap below the Toyota emblem.

Here is the 2014 4X4Labs version

Interesting. Lower profile than SW, but full replacement (unlike SS). Doesn't appear to provide recovery points.

Just curious... what does the badge (on passenger side of the bar that runs just below the grille) say?

That 4x4labs bumper looks it would take out the upper grill/headlight if it ever flexed

This 2014+ bumper has to be a royal pain just because how far up the stock bumper goes, seems like there really isn't a way to get a flush look without the use of a light to fill that gap under the lower grille or get creative with some mesh grille to fill the void

Nope. I have flexed mine out in every angle and not once has it touched any body, headlight etc. This fabricator builds for use. The gaps are intentional and tested. eace:

^good to know, I know the Demello option will be two pieces, the upper grill portion and the lower bumper portion to allow some flexibility between the two

this thing is starting to grow on me ... but I would put too much lights on there just because I dont want to restrict air flow to the radiator...

but a nice 30" under the bar would look sick !!!

About the same as others at around $1500.

I beg to differ....Shrockworks has, by far the best looking and most capable bumper on the market. They custom make the filler piece below the light. Most people cannot believe the "factory fit"

So you have to wait longer......you cannot rush quality.

I love the look of the Shrockworks bumper. But that factory '14 nose upgrade on the Trail/SR5 is what sold me on mine. Hence the minimalist SSS was my choice. I'm just glad we are finally beginning to go from ZERO choices to multiple choices in the last several months. :becky:

I just added the TRD Pro grill. I may be the only 14 Limited with the Shrockworks / TRD Pro combo. It really flows with their bumper, IMHO

I beg to differ....Shrockworks has, by far the best looking and most capable bumper on the market. They custom make the filler piece below the light. Most people cannot believe the "factory fit"

I beg to differ, shrockworks has a nice looking bumper but it is not the best looking, or the most capable bumper. if you want to push statistics i can offer you different bumpers that exceed past the shrockworks design specifications at different things.

for example, the 4x4Labs bumper is 30lbs lighter than the shrockworks bumper, with a lower winch mounting point, and has higher clearancing. the ARB bumper is designed to impact kangaroos without deformation of the frame rails due to the inclusion of the factory crush cans.

the shrockworks bumper is very nice, i want (ed) one. but the 6 month wait time is bad business. Mark is losing business left and right because his production speed isn't up to par. you are right, you cannot rush quality - but you can hire another fabricator or two.

now that the FJ isn't in production and the 4Runner has taken its place, manufacturers are starting to notice. NFAB, CBI, Domello, Expedition One and several others will be introducing their front bumpers before the years out and they'll start stealing market share from Mark to the point that he's going to have to figure out something, because 6 months is unacceptable. 4-6 weeks for a custom bumper is fine, any more than that and you have staffing issues that need to be addressed.

We will have to agree to disagree. I have owned three Shrockworks bumpers over the last 11 years. And I beat the #$%& out of them. You gotta remember....
