LBJ help!

So I'm in the middle of replacing my LBJ on my 99 4runner and I've got the 4 bolts torqued and the OTR torqued but my issue is with the actuall ball joint castle nut. It's not fully screwed in but it starts spinning.


Any help?????

Use the floor jack and lift from under the lower A arm. That will press the stud into the hole and you should be able to torque it then. Be sure to loctite the 4 bolts as well.

Well that was a darn headache. So I did a combination of the LCA and a friend who worked at toyota told me to use an impact.

So got them all done and put on my new shoes.

Then finally swapped out my LBJ. These looked to be the originals with 189k
