LC OME Springs

So a guy that rents a bay at the garage where I rent mine has some OME springs from his son's 80 series LC. They are OME850's and OME 864's. Are either sets of these worth me buying for my 4runner? My plan was to get the OME861's with LC shocks for the rear of my 4runner, but would either of these be worth getting if he comes off them cheap or are they too much for the 4runner?

they will be too tall, but i would still get them if they are cheep enough... you could always keep them till you find someone with a LC and sell/partial trade for their stock coils... i lifted a buddies fzj 80 for him in trade for all his old coils, sold the rears and kept the fronts, he got a good deal, no labor for a lift install and i got like $100 for the rears and a free set of fronts to lift the rear of my runner. win win. you could do something similar, sell the OME lift coils to someone at a discounted rate, making it a very attractive deal and you get their old coils... -the rear FZJ80 coils lift the rear of 2nd gen runners fyi, so you could sell those to help offset the cost or even get break even

thats what i was thinking, got a guy at work that has one, he might just do it, here in a minute when he is off the phone I will ask him.....back with an answer in a few

Yeah, both the 850s and the 864s will be too tall. The 864s are about the same length as my 861s, but they have a 100# higher spring rate which will make them sit way taller and not flex well under a 4runner. This chart may help you..

The 850s will give you ~8" or so.

I'm loving my 861s.
